Does This Look Like The Face of a Guy Who Wants Hispanics to Take IQ Tests Before They Immigrate?

Richwine

NBC Latino – The co-author of the controversial Heritage Foundation immigration study, who resigned after theories published in a 2009 dissertation on low Hispanic IQs surfaced, says he doesn’t regret what he said, only that he was unable to go into further detail on a sensitive subject… “I don’t apologize for any of the things that I said,” Richwine told the Washington Examiner. “But I do regret that I couldn’t give more detail. And I also regret that I didn’t think more about how the average lay person would perceive these things, as opposed to an academic audience…” In comments widely published from his dissertation last week, Richwine wrote that “No one knows whether Hispanics will ever reach IQ parity with whites, but the prediction that new Hispanic immigrants will have low-IQ children and grandchildren is difficult to argue against…” NBC Latino has repeatedly reached out to Richwine for comment without receiving a response… Youtube videos released by the American Enterprise Institute where he used to work, shortly after the dissertation surfaced, showed that he disagreed with the idea that all races and ethnicities are equally likely to assimilate. He said blacks, Native Americans and Mexicans have shown an inability to assimilate and that unlike the Irish and Sicilians, some groups have little chance of assimilating… “We have blacks, we have American Indians and even early Mexican-Americans who have been living in the country for a long time and have not assimilated to the cultural mainstream as typified by white Americans,” he said… In his first comments since resigning, Richwine said he regretted not going into the nuance of information regarding IQs. “”I am a much better writer than I am a speaker. I probably would have written those things differently than I spoke them. What I emphasized was that ethnic group differences in IQ are scientifically uncontroversial,” he said… “That being said, there is a nuance that goes along with that: the extent to which IQ scores actually reflect intelligence, the fact that it reflects averages and there is a lot of overlap in any population, and that IQ scores say absolutely nothing about the causes of the differences — environmental, genetic, or some combination of those things,” he added… In talking about how the controversy affected him, Richwine said the accusations of being a racist were the toughest to deal with… “The accusation of racism is one of the worst things that anyone can call you in public life,” he said. “Once that word is out there, it’s very difficult to recover from it, even when it is completely untrue.”

Let’s dispense with the obvious: Jason Richwine is actually Hans Gruber. And just because Hans is German, and a German once took issue with a few people, doesn’t mean that Hans is racist. In fact, anyone making that association is a racist. So if you just said, “that Social Darwinism mothafucka is sooooo racist,” please leave my blog immediately. The rest of this blog is for, as Jason Hans so eloquently put it, “an academic audience.” Only cultured, deep-thinkers could appreciate what’s written below…

Intelligence testing is a part of talent evaluation. You need to know if a prospect has the right mental makeup to play for your team. In the U. S. of A., we run a high-tempo offense featuring multiple packages and option routes. If you can’t grasp the system, your talents are useless. So our nation’s scouts need to do their job and make sure we can trust you when your number is called.

Far as Hans’s IQ Test Plan goes, it needs some work. If there’s one thing Hans and I agree on it’s that we’re not into the whole “give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses,” thing. Where we disagree, though, it is that only Hispanics should be tested. Brown, White, Black, or Yellow, all immigrants should be tested for a Green Card.

Marin Independent Journal – Fifteen years after hatching the idea to make rubber ducks that look like celebrities, San Rafael resident Craig Wolfe has turned his hobby into a full-time business and is pioneering an effort to bring rubber ducky manufacturing back to the United States… Surrounded by hundreds of rubber ducks at his home, which also serves as his office, the 60-year-old Wolfe said he’s passionate about his new line of rubber friends made in the states. He said his company, CelebriDucks, decided it was time to return the art form to the country where it was invented… “I realized I had an opportunity to do something no one else had done,” Wolfe said… The rubber duck was first created in Ohio during the 1800s by a tire and rubber company, but was eventually manufactured overseas to reduce costs, according to Wolfe. The duck’s popularity exploded in 1970 when Jim Henson’s Muppet Ernie sang a song on the children’s television show “Sesame Street” expressing his fondness for the rubber bird… “Every home in America had a rubber duck,” Wolfe said.

I need to get something off my chest. I’ve never owned a rubber ducky.

Don’t ask me why, I don’t know the answer. As a youth my house provided all the essentials. Cable TV with the movie package, High Speed Internet, Swimming Pool, really everything your average American family needs. But it was the little things we didn’t have. No central air. No automatic windows or locks on our cars. No rubber duckys.

Now an adult, I still don’t have a rubber ducky and I’m not gonna lie, I’m a little concerned that I may have missed my chance. Here this guy is turning the rubber ducky game on its head with these CelebriDucks, and I’ve never even had a regular rubber duck. I can’t just get a half-celebrity/half-duck without first having the classic rubber ducky, can I? And if I can’t, I’m not about to get regular rubber duck and be behind the trend like some square.

So there you have it. I’m in a real rock and a hard place situaish. I really don’t know how I’m going to remedy this but I need to find a solution. Regardless, it was nice to finally talk about something that’s been bothering me for so long. It’s not every day that you get to have a tender moment with the Internet. Now it’s time to begin the healing.

Patrice Bergeron Game 7 OT Winner

I don’t know why I bought tickets to see Leafs-Bruins, Game 7. I bought them Monday morning at what I considered a reasonable price by scalper standards knowing I was in for either heartache or joy. And considering the way the B’s played this series, you couldn’t give them more than a 50/50 shot despite being on home ice.

All that changed less than 6 minutes in. The Bruins had scored first, something they hadn’t done since Game 3, and the Garden crowd wouldn’t allow them to lose. The B’s were moving on to the next round. Time to slug back some beers, have some laughs, and enjoy a stress-free hockey game.

Let’s fast forward to the end of the 2nd period. The crowd had been dead since close to the end of the 1st, and now the Bruins were down 2-1. They had blown all but 8 seconds of a power play, which they would waste to start the 3rd period, to finish off an uninspired period featuring just 6 shots. The crowd didn’t really boo because everyone came to this game what they were getting into. They’d seen it from the Bruins the last two months of the regular season, they’d seen it from the Bruins the last two games of this series, and now they’d seen it from the Bruins the last two periods of this game. The crowd was about to watch the last period of the 2012-2013 Boston Bruins season and likely the last period of Claude Julien’s coaching career with the B’s.

That’s what I spent a lot of the 3rd period thinking about. How do the Bruins fix this to be a top-flight team not just in the regular season, but in the playoffs? No one in the building knew that no team had ever come back from a 3rd period, 3-goal deficit before, but we didn’t need to. If the score reflected the play, Toronto should have led 8-0. This was over.

If I’m being completely honest, I was pissed off when the Bruins scored their 2nd goal. That goal meant nothing, so I stayed sitting. The Bruins weren’t going to comeback just like they didn’t comeback in Games 5 & 6. Another case of too little, too late.

I didn’t applaud the 3rd goal but that’s because they had sucked me in. You’ve got to be superstitious at times like those. You’re watching something that shouldn’t happen. You do exactly what you’ve been doing. When Bergeron tied it I threw all that shit out the window while throwing half my beer all over myself, my buddies, and the people around us.

We’ve seen Sudden Death Overtime come down to the bounce of a puck so many times; all you can do is hope that it bounces your way. The Bruins had kept crashing the net, the way they had in the 3rd period, and a rebound bounced to Patrice Bergeron who put it away to complete one of the most epic comebacks in sports history.

I’m not going to tell you that what happens the rest of this postseason doesn’t matter. The Bruins should get to the Eastern Conference Finals and anything less is a disappointment. But before tonight’s puck drop for Game 1 of New York Rangers-Boston Bruins series, take one last moment to appreciate Game 7. You’ll never see anything like it again.

Why The Terrorists Will Never Win

KFC Couchgating logo

The Christian Science Monitor – For six years, Rafat Shororo longed for the taste of a KFC sandwich he had eaten in Egypt. This week, he got his finger lickin’ fix at home in the Gaza Strip after a local delivery company managed to smuggle it from Egypt through underground tunnels… “It has been a dream, and this company has made my dream come true,” says Mr. Shororo, an accountant, as he receives his order from the delivery guy… The al-Yamama company advertises its unorthodox new fast-food smuggling service on Facebook. It gets tens of orders a week for KFC meals despite having to triple the price to 100 shekels ($30) to cover transportation and smuggling fees. The deliveries go from the fryers at the Al-Arish KFC joint 35 miles away to customers’ doorsteps in about three hours… The fact that the tunnels operate quickly and cheaply enough for the Colonel’s secret recipe to be enjoyed in the tightly controlled Gaza Strip shows just how much of a sieve the Egypt-Gaza border has become…” All you need to have any KFC product is a short phone call and a few hours, then you can enjoy the great taste of fried chickens,” says Shororo, checking over his chicken pieces, salads, and apple pies. Like other customers who are acquainted with KFC from their travels abroad, he says he doesn’t care how much it costs. “I just want it…” KFC may be one of the stranger products to come through the hundreds of smuggling tunnels between Egypt and Gaza that have sprung up in the past six years in response to Israeli restrictions on imports to the Hamas-run territory, which allow cars, sailboats, motorcycles, weapons, fish, and now even drumsticks into the tiny coastal territory. While Egypt has a border crossing at Rafah, it is limited to foot traffic, and Cairo has so far refrained from opening a commercial crossing and thus risking Israel’s ire… Ironically, one of the reasons smugglers agreed to start dealing in KFC is because Israel’s easing of restrictions on trade since the November cease-fire with Hamas has dealt a serious blow to the tunnel business.

  • KFC is an American Fast Food Chain.
  • People on the Gaza Strip want to eat American food.
  • They’ve built underground tunnels to circumvent laws just to get their hands on this American food.
  • The price has dropped 1000% with mark ups now just three-times the cost, which means there is healthy, free-market competition between rival smugglers.
  • Government officials see the writing on the wall and have relaxed regulating these laws, probably because they’re getting their Colonel on too.
  • No sane American would ever eat KFC.
  • Now terrorists will be killing themselves with sodium, cholesterol, and saturated fats instead of suicide vests.

My country, ’tis of thee,
Sweet land of liberty,
Of thee I sing;
Land where my fathers died,
Land of the pilgrims’ pride,
From ev’ry mountainside
Let freedom ring!

When You Connect With An Escort, You Are Connecting With Everyone That Escort Has Connected With

ReadWrite – LinkedIn just rolled out a number of changes to its privacy policy and user agreement, informing its more than 200 million members through a notice on the professional network’s website… Most of the changes are simplification of the legalese. But one in particular caught our eye. According to LinkedIn, thou shalt not:

i. Even if it is legal where you are located, create profiles or provide content that promotes escort services or prostitution.

What surprised us was that this was even necessary. On a site where every action you take is tied to your professional identity, would anyone really take the risk of advertising adult services?… Apparently, yes. Prostitution, in fact, is a skill for which you can get endorsed on LinkedIn. (Many self-identified experts on the topic work in law enforcement or religious ministries, suggesting that their experience is with catching or counseling offenders rather than offering such services.)… Judging by the suggestions LinkedIn’s search algorithm offers, LinkedIn members are actively looking for this kind of professional help. Search on “escorts,” for example, and LinkedIn will prompt you to search instead for the following terms:

  • female escorts
  • independent escorts
  • call girls
  • hot girls
  • adult entertainment
  • escort services
  • dubai escorts

This ban is not completely new. LinkedIn previously forbade advertising “unlawful” services. However, prostitution is legal in some European countries and parts of the United States, and escort services fall into a legal gray area in many jurisdictions.

Well aint that my fucking luck? Last week I had an idea to write a blog about LinkedIn after they posted that video that I’ve put at the top of the page. Like everyone else, as soon as I watched it I naturally thought of society’s castaways. The plan was to look for job titles like “Hooker,” and “Fluffer,” and “Hypocrite,” and then write about what I found. Topical like a motha fucka! But I decided against it and now I can’t even remember why.

But enough about me. LinkedIn, I’m disappointed in you.

Just because Hookers are a dime a dozen, doesn’t mean they are any less deserving of showcase. Do you realize that the words “Microsoft Office” show up in nearly 4 million of your profiles? Seriously. Microsoft Fucking Office. How is distinguishing Times New Roman and Cambria any more a skill than differentiating Doggy Style and Reverse Cowgirl? So let’s meet halfway.

In “Experience” you can get rid of the Call Girls but you have to keep the Escorts. This is a place for professionals after all, and Call Girls are really just aspiring Escorts on internship.

These Escorts need “Skills & Expertise,” right? So offer sensible replacements for their existing entries. Where specifics like Social Media and Private Chats are good alternatives to Marketing and Webcam, sometimes vague is better. Cold Calling should replace Phone Sex, and Networking should replace Orgies.

That’s it for now. I think we’ve got a solid foundation to build around. Next time we’ll talk about how Escorts should use the “Recommendations” and “Groups” sections.

Opposing Views – The town of Dorset, Minnesota, with a population of 22, boasts the youngest politician around as its newest mayor. Mayor Robert Tufts, also known as Bobbie, is just four years old. The 4-year-old became mayor when the town picked his name out of hat. Each year Dorset pulls the name of a citizen out of hat and that person becomes mayor for a year. Mayor Bobbie keeps the small community near Park Rapids on its toes. “He’s amazing. He’s just completely amazing,” said Kathy Schmidt, whose family has lived in the area for four generations. “He’s right in your face and well-spoken. You can’t imagine what a ball of fire he is.” The mayor is a singer, dancer, and expert fisherman. A fisher of crappie, muskies and bass, Mayor Bobbie says leeches and worms are the best bait. He appears to chew on fishing corks in his interview – perhaps a secret to his success. The mayor says he has but one girlfriend, the first lady Sophia. Dorset is about a century old, coming together as a railroad passed through the area. Years ago it lost the status of “town” said Schmidt, “when they took away the zip code.” Decisions in the town are made by local businesses, so there isn’t much for a mayor to do. Dorset calls itself the “Restaurant Capital of the World” because it allegedly has more restaurants per capita than anywhere else. The population, 22, varies depending on who you talk to. “It depends on how many children the preacher has,” Schmidt laughed.

Bobbie is playing this one cool as a cucumber. Public Servants have to say they’re monogamous. They risk alienating a majority of their population otherwise. But if we take off the kid gloves and speak as adults for a second, Bobbie is about to get so many babes. That’s just the way it is. All Bobbie has to do is give Sophia minimal attention, and do things like pick her first in duck-duck-goose, and he’s set.

Think about it, no one is more gullible than chicks and children. Bobbie can tell Sophia whatever he wants. Late at the office, fishing, shaking hands, ribbon-cutting ceremony, doesn’t matter. And if Sophia gets wise to the whole thing, Bobbie has the ultimate one-word built-in excuse: cooties.

Know What I Don’t Need? Space

Popular Science – With enough money and enough might, humans could probably get to Mars in the next couple of decades. It’s a proposition made all the more relevant by the continuing findings of the rovers Opportunity and Curiosity. It would be a mammoth undertaking, but it’s possible, at least in concept. But should humans go, and should we stay? Will we? Buzz Aldrin thinks so… Aldrin releases a new book today, “Mission to Mars,” in which he argues a future U.S. president should commit by 2019 to sending humans to Mars, and not returning them safely to Earth. It will take a brave leader to suggest something like this, but brave leaders have sparked space exploration before, he says… If we persevere on this path, we can reach out some 200 million miles to Mars before 2035–66 years after Neil Armstrong and I flew the quarter-million miles through the blackness of space to touch down onto Tranquillity Base,” Aldrin writes. “There’s a historical milestone in the fact that our Apollo 11 landing on the moon took place a mere 66 years after the Wright Brothers’ first flight.”

The fascination with space is something I’ll never understand. I just don’t get why anyone would want to leave little ol’ Earth. Seriously, what can I do in space that I can’t do from the comfort of my own Troposphere? Okay, I’m sure the whole floating thing is cool, but that must get old, right? Like, that has to be the beginning and end of what’s cool about space and that will get old in five minutes.

Going to space is the same thing as going to a football game. Really cool experience. Something you’ll get to tell people you did. But ultimately way more money than it’s worth. The food is different. There’s so much more you can do at home than you could do in the Stadium/Shuttle. You have to take off multiple layers of clothes just to piss because it’s a million-below outside…

Ya, Mercury and Venus probably make for great getaways in the winter, but the summers must be brutal. And I hear the chicks on Uranus are great. Mars isn’t doing it for me, though. “The Red Planet?” That’s your marketing slogan? Nah.

I’ll take my 24-hour/365-day rotation all day, and my 366-day rotation on the fourth year twice on Sunday.

PS – Pandora sucked too. Any planet where humans invade and become the dominant alien species isn’t worth my time.

GROUSBECK! IN MY OFFICE!

You let the Heat beat you in last year’s Eastern Conference Finals. You follow that up by finishing 7th in the East. And now you’re letting the only prospect you’ve developed in the last 5 years walk? What in the hell have you got going on in that department?!

Molly McGrath’s got it all. Poise and Tits. Confidence and Smiles. Brains and Ass. Legs and Legs and Legs and Legs.

Look at that fucking strut! Those are mechanics you just can’t teach. I’ve seen dozens of sideline reporters in my time. None of them could prance like that little minx.

This town is only as good as its weakest link. The Pats are on a different level, and I’m not expecting you to be them, but look around. The Bruins are about to move on in the playoffs and could very well win their second Stanley Cup in 3 years. Shit, even those morons over at Fenway have turned last year’s three-ring circus into a 1st Place Team. In fact, I want you to reach out to them.

God knows I don’t agree with everything the Red Sox do. But if there’s one thing they’ve got right it’s scouting box: Hazel Mae, Tina Cervasio, Heidi Watney, Jenny Dell. Jesus H! Jenny’s even taken a few days off this year and they threw out Jamie Erdahl. Jamie’s the Staff Ace with any other franchise, and she’s the Sox’ #2!

Listen Wyc, I don’t want to micromanage, but I’ve had just about had enough. Next Season I want 2 things: Banner 18, and a vixen who dresses like each broadcast will be her last. Either clean up this mess, or clean out your office.
